February Internet Sale Had Active Following

The monthly Star Lake Internet Sale closed on Monday evening, February 22nd with an active following of bidders.  The sale grossed $34,800 and averaged $4100 on the two calf lots and averaged $491 per embryo on the 45 embryos sold.  We thank all of the 43 registered bidders for participating in this month's sale.

In a first for their Internet sales, Star Lake offered both a heifer and a yearling bull to Hereford enthusiasts.  The heifer, STAR High Society 382W ET was this month's high selling lot at $5000 and goes to buyer 1615 in Washington.  The yearling bull was cataloged as Lot 16, STAR SJS Remmington 29W ET.  He is out of Domette 515P and National Champion, Reload and was purchased by Buyer 1616 from Oklahoma for $3200.

The fourteen embryo lots also were well received as well with the high selling lot being Lot 2, which paired National Reserve Grand Champion , Investor Gal with the breed icon, Online 122L.  The three embryos in this package sold for $1325 each to Buyer 1615.  The volume buyer of embryos was also Buyer 1615 who purchased Lots 1,2,3,4,5 & 11.

This month as part of our Buyer Rewards program we awarded two $500 credits to be used in our upcoming annual St. Patrick's Day Semen Sale that will be held March 12 through March 17, 2010.   The first $500 credit was awarded to Buyer 1615 for their purchase of the single high selling lot in the sale...Lot 1.  The second $500 credit was also awarded to Buyer 1615 who purchased the most in total dollars of embryos in this month's internet sale.

Join us again next month for the March Internet Auction that will open on Thursday, March 18th and close with the bid off on March 22, Monday evening at 7 pm.  We will feature some embryo packages featuring our latest herd sires, a nice heifer calf and some semen packages just in time for breeding season.  Don't forget to save $$$$'s in the St. Patrick's Day Semen Sale as well...for details CLICK HERE
